Voice of Suzhou Creek is a collaborative project produced for the Shanghai Biennale International Student Exhibition 2008. The installation seeks to manifest the collective sights, diverse viewpoints and sounds of this “Forgotten City”, which is being ignored in the process of Shanghai’s rapid urban transformation. By applying a synaesthetic process, a group of ten designers and artists documented the voices of the people and their local perspective of this community, which finally turned into this visual-scape and soundscape installation.
